Barangay La Union

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay La Union is one of the administrative divisions of Hagonoy in Davao Del Sur, Davao Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay La Union had a population of 754. This made it the 21st largest of 21 barangays in Hagonoy by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay La Union accounted for approximately 1.32% of the total population of Hagonoy, which stood at 56,919 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay La Union changed from 687 to 754, a shift of +9.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Hagonoy. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay La Union as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
