Barangay San Miguel

Situated in Hagonoy, Bulacan, Barangay San Miguel is one of 26 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Miguel had a population of 6,167. This made it the 9th largest of 26 barangays in Hagonoy by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Miguel accounted for approximately 4.62% of the total population of Hagonoy, which stood at 133,448 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay San Miguel changed from 5,888 to 6,167, a shift of +4.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Hagonoy. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Miguel as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Hagonoy is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Miguel, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
