Barangay La Casa (Pob.)

Classified as a large barangay, Barangay La Casa (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Hinatuan in Surigao Del Sur, Caraga, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay La Casa (Pob.) had a population of 5,646. This made it the 1st largest of 24 barangays in Hinatuan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay La Casa (Pob.) accounted for approximately 12.88% of the total population of Hinatuan, which stood at 43,841 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 5,115 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 5,646 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +10.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay La Casa (Pob.) as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Hinatuan is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay La Casa (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
