Barangay Poblacion 2

Situated in Hindang, Leyte, Barangay Poblacion 2 is one of 20 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion 2 had a population of 1,320. This made it the 7th largest of 20 barangays in Hindang by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion 2 accounted for approximately 6.33% of the total population of Hindang, which stood at 20,849 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion 2 moving from 1,368 residents to 1,320 residents, an intercensal change of -3.5%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community.
