Barangay Tongohin

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Tongohin is one of the administrative divisions of Infanta in Quezon, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tongohin had a population of 2,701. This made it the 11th largest of 36 barangays in Infanta by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tongohin accounted for approximately 3.55% of the total population of Infanta, which stood at 76,186 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tongohin changed from 2,465 to 2,701, a shift of +9.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Infanta. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tongohin as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Infanta is a municipality comprising 36 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tongohin, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Quezon, which contains 1,242 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tongohin ranks 203rd by 2020 population.
