Barangay Can-angay

Situated in Inopacan, Leyte, Barangay Can-angay is one of 20 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Can-angay had a population of 659. This made it the 13th largest of 20 barangays in Inopacan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Can-angay accounted for approximately 3.08% of the total population of Inopacan, which stood at 21,389 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Can-angay moving from 661 residents to 659 residents, an intercensal change of -0.3%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. Barangay Can-angay is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
