Barangay Esperanza

Situated in Inopacan, Leyte, Barangay Esperanza is one of 20 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Esperanza had a population of 1,419. This made it the 6th largest of 20 barangays in Inopacan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Esperanza accounted for approximately 6.63% of the total population of Inopacan, which stood at 21,389 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Esperanza moving from 1,412 residents to 1,419 residents, an intercensal change of +0.5%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community.
