Barangay Tagbaobo

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Tagbaobo is one of the administrative divisions of Island Garden City of Samal in Davao Del Norte, Davao Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tagbaobo had a population of 2,652. This made it the 15th largest of 46 barangays in Island Garden City of Samal by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Tagbaobo accounted for approximately 2.27% of the total population of Island Garden City of Samal, which stood at 116,771 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,179 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,652 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +21.7%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Tagbaobo is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
