Barangay Bongol

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Bongol is one of the administrative divisions of Janiuay in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Bongol had a population of 2,228. This made it the 4th largest of 60 barangays in Janiuay by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bongol accounted for approximately 3.34% of the total population of Janiuay, which stood at 66,786 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bongol moving from 1,722 residents to 2,228 residents, an intercensal change of +29.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
