Barangay Andres Bonifacio

Barangay Andres Bonifacio is a small barangay in the municipality of Javier, located in the province of Leyte, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Andres Bonifacio had a population of 702. This made it the 19th largest of 28 barangays in Javier by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Andres Bonifacio accounted for approximately 2.63% of the total population of Javier, which stood at 26,658 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Andres Bonifacio changed from 771 to 702, a shift of -8.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Javier. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Andres Bonifacio as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
