Barangay Casalungan

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Casalungan is one of the administrative divisions of Javier in Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Casalungan had a population of 418. This made it the 25th largest of 28 barangays in Javier by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Casalungan accounted for approximately 1.57% of the total population of Javier, which stood at 26,658 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Casalungan moving from 422 residents to 418 residents, an intercensal change of -0.9%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Casalungan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
