Barangay Malino

Barangay Malino is a small barangay in the municipality of Jiabong, located in the province of Samar, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Malino had a population of 856. This made it the 4th largest of 34 barangays in Jiabong by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Malino accounted for approximately 4.46% of the total population of Jiabong, which stood at 19,205 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Malino moving from 742 residents to 856 residents, an intercensal change of +15.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Malino as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
