Barangay Malannit

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Malannit is one of the administrative divisions of Jones in Isabela, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Malannit had a population of 1,038. This made it the 18th largest of 42 barangays in Jones by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Malannit accounted for approximately 2.27% of the total population of Jones, which stood at 45,628 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Malannit changed from 1,010 to 1,038, a shift of +2.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Jones. Barangay Malannit is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Jones is a municipality comprising 42 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Malannit, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
