Barangay Tamarok

Situated in Jose Dalman, Zamboanga Del Norte, Barangay Tamarok is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tamarok had a population of 1,155. This made it the 9th largest of 18 barangays in Jose Dalman by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tamarok accounted for approximately 4.00% of the total population of Jose Dalman, which stood at 28,881 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tamarok changed from 1,164 to 1,155, a shift of -0.8% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in Jose Dalman. Barangay Tamarok is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Jose Dalman is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tamarok, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
