Barangay Bonifacio

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Bonifacio is one of the administrative divisions of Julita in Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bonifacio had a population of 490. This made it the 14th largest of 26 barangays in Julita by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bonifacio accounted for approximately 3.14% of the total population of Julita, which stood at 15,598 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bonifacio moving from 479 residents to 490 residents, an intercensal change of +2.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Bonifacio is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
