Barangay Tamin

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Tamin is one of the administrative divisions of Kabasalan in Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tamin had a population of 379. This made it the 29th largest of 29 barangays in Kabasalan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tamin accounted for approximately 0.81% of the total population of Kabasalan, which stood at 46,884 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tamin moving from 422 residents to 379 residents, an intercensal change of -10.2%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tamin as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
