Barangay Timuay Danda

Situated in Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay, Barangay Timuay Danda is one of 29 barangays that make up the municipality within Zamboanga Peninsula.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Timuay Danda had a population of 2,375. This made it the 9th largest of 29 barangays in Kabasalan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Timuay Danda accounted for approximately 5.07% of the total population of Kabasalan, which stood at 46,884 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,134 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,375 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +11.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Timuay Danda is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
