Barangay Poblacion District 3

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Poblacion District 3 is one of the administrative divisions of La Paz in Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion District 3 had a population of 1,287. This made it the 2nd largest of 35 barangays in La Paz by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion District 3 accounted for approximately 6.71% of the total population of La Paz, which stood at 19,174 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Poblacion District 3 changed from 1,227 to 1,287, a shift of +4.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in La Paz. Barangay Poblacion District 3 is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

La Paz is a municipality comprising 35 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion District 3, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Leyte, which contains 1,641 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Poblacion District 3 ranks 441st by 2020 population.
