Barangay Motrico

Barangay Motrico is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of La Paz, located in the province of Tarlac, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Motrico had a population of 3,459. This made it the 9th largest of 21 barangays in La Paz by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Motrico accounted for approximately 5.02% of the total population of La Paz, which stood at 68,952 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Motrico moving from 3,206 residents to 3,459 residents, an intercensal change of +7.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Motrico as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

La Paz is a municipality comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Motrico, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
