Barangay Lakandula

Situated in Las Navas, Northern Samar, Barangay Lakandula is one of 53 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lakandula had a population of 313. This made it the 44th largest of 53 barangays in Las Navas by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lakandula accounted for approximately 0.85% of the total population of Las Navas, which stood at 36,621 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 328 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 313 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -4.6%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Lakandula is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
