Barangay Mabini

Barangay Mabini forms part of Las Navas, a municipality in Northern Samar, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Mabini had a population of 515. This made it the 26th largest of 53 barangays in Las Navas by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mabini accounted for approximately 1.41% of the total population of Las Navas, which stood at 36,621 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 514 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 515 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +0.2%, consistent with a slowly expanding settlement. Barangay Mabini is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Las Navas is a municipality comprising 53 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mabini, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Northern Samar, which contains 569 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Mabini ranks 411th by 2020 population. Northern Samar is classified as a 2nd by the Bureau of Local Government Finance, a category that reflects the province's annual regular income.
