Barangay Santo Tomas

Barangay Santo Tomas forms part of Las Navas, a municipality in Northern Samar, and is classified as a very small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Santo Tomas had a population of 160. This made it the 53rd largest of 53 barangays in Las Navas by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santo Tomas accounted for approximately 0.44% of the total population of Las Navas, which stood at 36,621 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 162 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 160 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -1.2%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Santo Tomas as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Las Navas is a municipality comprising 53 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Santo Tomas, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
