Barangay Paliparan

Situated in Laurel, Batangas, Barangay Paliparan is one of 21 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Paliparan had a population of 945. This made it the 16th largest of 21 barangays in Laurel by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Paliparan accounted for approximately 2.19% of the total population of Laurel, which stood at 43,210 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 887 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 945 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +6.5%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Paliparan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Laurel is a municipality comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Paliparan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Batangas, which contains 1,078 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Paliparan ranks 881st by 2020 population.
