Barangay Salvacion

Situated in Lavezares, Northern Samar, Barangay Salvacion is one of 26 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Salvacion had a population of 506. This made it the 19th largest of 26 barangays in Lavezares by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Salvacion accounted for approximately 1.72% of the total population of Lavezares, which stood at 29,390 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Salvacion moving from 507 residents to 506 residents, an intercensal change of -0.2%. The trajectory indicates a broadly stable community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Salvacion as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
