Barangay San Jose

Situated in Lavezares, Northern Samar, Barangay San Jose is one of 26 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Jose had a population of 473. This made it the 22nd largest of 26 barangays in Lavezares by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Jose accounted for approximately 1.61% of the total population of Lavezares, which stood at 29,390 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Jose moving from 396 residents to 473 residents, an intercensal change of +19.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Jose as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
