Barangay Gua-an

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Gua-an is one of the administrative divisions of Leganes in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Gua-an had a population of 1,280. This made it the 14th largest of 18 barangays in Leganes by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Gua-an accounted for approximately 3.69% of the total population of Leganes, which stood at 34,725 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Gua-an moving from 1,231 residents to 1,280 residents, an intercensal change of +4.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Gua-an as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
