Barangay Anabo

Barangay Anabo is a small barangay in the municipality of Lemery, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Anabo had a population of 1,548. This made it the 3rd largest of 31 barangays in Lemery by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Anabo accounted for approximately 4.93% of the total population of Lemery, which stood at 31,414 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Anabo moving from 1,405 residents to 1,548 residents, an intercensal change of +10.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Anabo as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
