Barangay Masalisi

Barangay Masalisi is a small barangay in the municipality of Lemery, located in the province of Batangas, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Masalisi had a population of 1,206. This made it the 39th largest of 46 barangays in Lemery by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Masalisi accounted for approximately 1.29% of the total population of Lemery, which stood at 93,186 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Masalisi changed from 1,054 to 1,206, a shift of +14.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Lemery. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Masalisi as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lemery is a municipality comprising 46 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Masalisi, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Batangas, which contains 1,078 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Masalisi ranks 799th by 2020 population.
