Barangay Mayasang

Barangay Mayasang is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Lemery, located in the province of Batangas, in the CALABARZON region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Mayasang had a population of 2,749. This made it the 10th largest of 46 barangays in Lemery by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Mayasang accounted for approximately 2.95% of the total population of Lemery, which stood at 93,186 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Mayasang moving from 2,439 residents to 2,749 residents, an intercensal change of +12.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Mayasang as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lemery is a municipality comprising 46 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Mayasang, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
