Barangay Candayuman

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Candayuman is one of the administrative divisions of Liloan in Southern Leyte, Eastern Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Candayuman had a population of 413. This made it the 22nd largest of 24 barangays in Liloan by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Candayuman accounted for approximately 1.67% of the total population of Liloan, which stood at 24,800 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Candayuman moving from 412 residents to 413 residents, an intercensal change of +0.2%. The trajectory indicates a slowly expanding community. Barangay Candayuman is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Liloan is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Candayuman, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Southern Leyte, which contains 500 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Candayuman ranks 388th by 2020 population.
