Barangay Calunasan Sur

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Calunasan Sur is one of the administrative divisions of Loboc in Bohol, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Calunasan Sur had a population of 408. This made it the 19th largest of 28 barangays in Loboc by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Calunasan Sur accounted for approximately 2.34% of the total population of Loboc, which stood at 17,418 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 392 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 408 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +4.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Calunasan Sur as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Loboc is a municipality comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calunasan Sur, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
