Barangay Poblacion Sawang

Barangay Poblacion Sawang is a small barangay in the municipality of Loboc, located in the province of Bohol, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion Sawang had a population of 581. This made it the 14th largest of 28 barangays in Loboc by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion Sawang accounted for approximately 3.34% of the total population of Loboc, which stood at 17,418 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 598 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 581 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -2.8%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Poblacion Sawang is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
