Barangay Macalibre Bajo

Barangay Macalibre Bajo forms part of Lopez Jaena, a municipality in Misamis Occidental, and is classified as a very small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Macalibre Bajo had a population of 223. This made it the 26th largest of 28 barangays in Lopez Jaena by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Macalibre Bajo accounted for approximately 0.87% of the total population of Lopez Jaena, which stood at 25,507 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 233 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 223 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -4.3%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Macalibre Bajo as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
