Barangay San Jose Apunan

Barangay San Jose Apunan is a small barangay in the municipality of Lubao, located in the province of Pampanga, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Jose Apunan had a population of 1,138. This made it the 42nd largest of 44 barangays in Lubao by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Jose Apunan accounted for approximately 0.66% of the total population of Lubao, which stood at 173,502 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,342 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,138 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -15.2%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay San Jose Apunan is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
