Barangay Poblacion East

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Poblacion East is one of the administrative divisions of Lupao in Nueva Ecija, Central Luzon, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion East had a population of 765. This made it the 21st largest of 24 barangays in Lupao by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion East accounted for approximately 1.67% of the total population of Lupao, which stood at 45,917 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 884 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 765 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -13.5%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Poblacion East is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lupao is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion East, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
