Barangay Poblacion West

Barangay Poblacion West is a small barangay in the municipality of Lupao, located in the province of Nueva Ecija, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Poblacion West had a population of 1,387. This made it the 18th largest of 24 barangays in Lupao by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion West accounted for approximately 3.02% of the total population of Lupao, which stood at 45,917 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,307 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,387 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +6.1%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Poblacion West is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lupao is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion West, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
