Barangay Haluban

Situated in Lupi, Camarines Sur, Barangay Haluban is one of 38 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Haluban had a population of 1,120. This made it the 10th largest of 38 barangays in Lupi by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Haluban accounted for approximately 3.30% of the total population of Lupi, which stood at 33,897 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Haluban changed from 1,133 to 1,120, a shift of -1.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in Lupi. Barangay Haluban is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lupi is a municipality comprising 38 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Haluban, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
