Barangay San Rafael Norte

Situated in Lupi, Camarines Sur, Barangay San Rafael Norte is one of 38 barangays that make up the municipality within Bicol Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Rafael Norte had a population of 370. This made it the 33rd largest of 38 barangays in Lupi by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Rafael Norte accounted for approximately 1.09% of the total population of Lupi, which stood at 33,897 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 298 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 370 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +24.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Rafael Norte as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Lupi is a municipality comprising 38 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Rafael Norte, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
