Barangay Golden Valley

Barangay Golden Valley is a large barangay in the municipality of Mabini, located in the province of Davao De Oro, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Golden Valley had a population of 5,200. This made it the 4th largest of 11 barangays in Mabini by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Golden Valley accounted for approximately 11.94% of the total population of Mabini, which stood at 43,552 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 5,386 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 5,200 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -3.5%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Golden Valley as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Mabini is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Golden Valley, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Davao De Oro, which contains 237 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Golden Valley ranks 33rd by 2020 population.
