Barangay Paagahan

Situated in Mabitac, Laguna, Barangay Paagahan is one of 15 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Paagahan had a population of 4,043. This made it the 2nd largest of 15 barangays in Mabitac by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Paagahan accounted for approximately 19.00% of the total population of Mabitac, which stood at 21,275 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Paagahan changed from 4,035 to 4,043, a shift of +0.2% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Mabitac. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Paagahan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mabitac is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Paagahan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
