Barangay Pag-Asa (Pob.)

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Pag-Asa (Pob.) is one of the administrative divisions of Mabitac in Laguna, CALABARZON, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Pag-Asa (Pob.) had a population of 946. This made it the 9th largest of 15 barangays in Mabitac by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pag-Asa (Pob.) accounted for approximately 4.45% of the total population of Mabitac, which stood at 21,275 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,172 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 946 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -19.3%, consistent with a contracting settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Pag-Asa (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mabitac is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pag-Asa (Pob.), including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
