This made it the 1st largest of 30 barangays in Macalelon by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Pinagbayanan accounted for approximately 8.74% of the total population of Macalelon, which stood at 27,312 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Pinagbayanan changed from 2,058 to 2,388, a shift of +16.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Macalelon.
