Situated in Macalelon, Quezon, Barangay Taguin is one of 30 barangays that make up the municipality within CALABARZON.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Taguin had a population of 1,375. This made it the 6th largest of 30 barangays in Macalelon by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Taguin accounted for approximately 5.03% of the total population of Macalelon, which stood at 27,312 in the same census year.
