Barangay Anislagan

Barangay Anislagan is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Maco, located in the province of Davao De Oro, in the Davao Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Anislagan had a population of 2,729. This made it the 13th largest of 37 barangays in Maco by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Anislagan accounted for approximately 3.28% of the total population of Maco, which stood at 83,237 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Anislagan moving from 2,434 residents to 2,729 residents, an intercensal change of +12.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Anislagan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Maco is a municipality comprising 37 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Anislagan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
