Barangay Calabcab

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Calabcab is one of the administrative divisions of Maco in Davao De Oro, Davao Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Calabcab had a population of 675. This made it the 33rd largest of 37 barangays in Maco by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Calabcab accounted for approximately 0.81% of the total population of Maco, which stood at 83,237 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Calabcab moving from 639 residents to 675 residents, an intercensal change of +5.6%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Calabcab as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Maco is a municipality comprising 37 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calabcab, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
