Barangay Agutay

Barangay Agutay is a small barangay in the municipality of Magdiwang, located in the province of Romblon, in the MIMAROPA Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Agutay had a population of 1,721. This made it the 5th largest of 9 barangays in Magdiwang by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Agutay accounted for approximately 11.19% of the total population of Magdiwang, which stood at 15,385 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Agutay changed from 1,616 to 1,721, a shift of +6.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Magdiwang. Barangay Agutay is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
