Barangay San Isidro

Barangay San Isidro is a small barangay in the municipality of Mainit, located in the province of Surigao Del Norte, in the Caraga region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Isidro had a population of 1,810. This made it the 5th largest of 21 barangays in Mainit by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Isidro accounted for approximately 6.46% of the total population of Mainit, which stood at 28,019 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Isidro moving from 1,851 residents to 1,810 residents, an intercensal change of -2.2%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Isidro as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Mainit is a municipality comprising 21 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Isidro, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
