Barangay Tagbuyawan

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Tagbuyawan is one of the administrative divisions of Mainit in Surigao Del Norte, Caraga, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tagbuyawan had a population of 412. This made it the 16th largest of 21 barangays in Mainit by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tagbuyawan accounted for approximately 1.47% of the total population of Mainit, which stood at 28,019 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tagbuyawan moving from 363 residents to 412 residents, an intercensal change of +13.5%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tagbuyawan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
