Barangay Alibagon

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Alibagon is one of the administrative divisions of Makato in Aklan, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Alibagon had a population of 700. This made it the 16th largest of 18 barangays in Makato by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Alibagon accounted for approximately 2.36% of the total population of Makato, which stood at 29,717 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Alibagon moving from 641 residents to 700 residents, an intercensal change of +9.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Alibagon as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
