Barangay Cajilo

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Cajilo is one of the administrative divisions of Makato in Aklan, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Cajilo had a population of 1,999. This made it the 8th largest of 18 barangays in Makato by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cajilo accounted for approximately 6.73% of the total population of Makato, which stood at 29,717 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cajilo moving from 1,446 residents to 1,999 residents, an intercensal change of +38.2%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Cajilo is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
